The public is invited to help shape the future management direction forAtlin/a Téix'gi Aan Tlein Park and Willison Creek – Nelson Lake/Sít’ Héeni Conservancy.
BC Parks and Taku River Tlingit First Nationwill be collaboratively writing a management plan for these protected areas and would like to hear from the public. A single management plan will be prepared for both protected areas due to their adjacency and similarities in their natural values, ecosystems, and interest holders. This management plan will set out the long-term, strategic direction for both protected areas and provides guidance for how both Atlin/a Téix'gi Aan Tlein Parkand Willison Creek – Nelson Lake/Sít’ Héeni Conservancy will be managed into the future.
We want to hear what you think. Let our team know what is important to you about these places and how you would like to see them managed. An initial survey was open from January to March, 2025. There will be additional opportunities for public comment as a draft plan is developed. Please stay tuned for these in the coming months.
