Update July 2023: this engagement is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated.

Cultus Lake Provincial Park is one of the most popular destinations in the Lower Mainland for campers and visitors who swim or boat in the large freshwater lake or hike the trails. The park is also bordered by a community of full-time and seasonal residents who frequently use the park. As the number of visitors to Cultus Lake Provincial Park continues to rise, there is growing pressure on the park’s facilities and resources.
BC Parks is working on a Recreation Facility Plan to identify what facilities and services are needed to:
Provide a range of enjoyable, high-quality, and safe outdoor recreation opportunities for visitors, and
Help manage the increasing number of visitors to protect the environmental and cultural integrity of the park.
The Recreation Facility Plan will identify and recommend facility improvement projects to potentially complete in the future. The plan will consider existing visitor use challenges and recommend facilities that provide practical solutions to problems. It will look at the following aspects of the park:
Indigenous interests
Environmental interests
Visitor use pressures and trends
Parking/congestion
Active transportation
Accessibility
Existing and potential new park facilities
We want to hear from you.
Input from stakeholders, residents, and the community is essential to this process. We want to know how you use Cultus Lake Provincial Park, your perspectives on the park, and your ideas for the future. Your input will help inform recommendations for facility improvements in the Recreation Facility Plan. This page features a community survey and an interactive mapping tool that will remain open until: July 10, 2023 (extended).
This Recreation Facility Plan and its engagement process are not replacements for a Park Management Plan and associated engagement. When a broader park management planning process begins for Cultus Lake Provincial Park, the Recreation Facility Plan will help inform the process and plan.
